Eco-friendly camp with all the pleasures of a safari in a private wilderness
Place: Masai Mara, Kenya’s Mara North Conservancy
This traditional Kenya safari camp is very nice and cozy, and it doesn’t bother the wildlife or the environment. There won’t be any loud generators to scare the local lion pride or get in the way of your peaceful safari. Elephant Pepper Camp is set in a clump of trees, away from everything else, and has a view of the Mara Plains. This camp in Kenya is next to a watering hole, and the grass around it is very salty, which makes it a great place for elephants to hang out.
The outdoor activities you will do during the day will take place in a private and protected area near the Mara River. People often bring picnic boxes for breakfast on early morning game drives and for lunch during the migration season on long, all-day game drives. There are lots of animals on the Mara grounds, and there are even more from July to October.
Big cats live in the Mara North Conservancy, but you might also see Hyenas, Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffes, Wildebeest, and Zebras. When you get back to camp after a beautiful sunset in the bush, you can eat delicious food like Osso Bucco and Melanzane Parmigiana, which are traditional Italian dishes passed down from generation to generation, as well as homemade pasta and salads made with organic ingredients.

The place
A private forest area close to the Masai Mara Game Reserve and the Mara River is called the Mara North Conservancy. The area is full of wildlife. Elephant Pepper Camp is in the shade and has a view of the fields.
There are no other camps or cabins near this malaria-free Kenya safari camp. It is in the middle of a protected area that is 3,600 square km (1390 square miles) in size. You can enjoy complete privacy while doing a range of safari activities in the reserve. The camp only opens during certain times of the year and stays closed for two months to protect the natural environment.
The 11 partner camps and the Maasai landowners work together on the Mara North Conservancy. The Maasai community leases land and rents it out for a steady income. They also work together to make policies and practices for holistic land management, such as keeping the land in good shape for wildlife protection, low-impact tourism, and controlled grazing. Elephant Pepper Camp, which is good for the environment, started this project and takes part in many other community projects as well.
