Govenors IL Moran lets you enjoy a private and personal Kenyan safari. The cool, quiet banks of the Mara River are a beautiful place to watch wildlife. You will be right next to the animals in the Masai Mara Reserve and on the water. The best chances to see animals and take pictures are made sure by guides who are well-trained and have a lot of experience.

Anytime you go to the Masai Mara to see animals is a great time, but you will believe your eyes if you go during the Great Migration (July to October). Over a million Wildebeest and Zebra cross the fields to get to the Mara River, where there are grasslands that are good for them. Many dangerous things wait for them on this trip.

Place to stay

As a part of the Governors Camp Collection, IL Moran has 10 large canvas tents set up in a beautiful and private area next to the Mara River.
Enjoy the peace and comfort of your private en-suite tent in the native forest during your Kenyan vacation at IL Moran. Your bed is very big, like a king-size bed.

Each tent is very roomy and has a porch with furniture made from natural woods and trees that have fallen. Inside bathroom has a bathtub, a large shower, two sinks, a toilet, and running hot and cold water.

How to Get to Governors IL Moran in Masai Mara, Kenya

By Air

The only way to get to this area is through the all-weather dirt Musiara Airstrip in the Masai Mara. Nairobi Wilson Airport has scheduled trips twice a day to Musiara that last 45 minutes. From there, you can take a Land Rover transfer that takes 15 minutes to get to Governors IL Moran Camp. From almost anywhere in Kenya, you can book a private charter flight to Musiara Airstrip.

From Nairobi, you can drive to Governors IL Moran. The trip could take 6 hours, but that depends on how the roads are.
