Masai Mara, Kenya is where we’re going.
The Masai Mara Kenya is right next to the Ol Kinyei private reserve, which is where the Porini Mara Camp is located. There are luxurious tented safari rooms for guests to stay in, and they are set up along a beautiful stretch of the Laetoli River. Because it is a reserve, guests are free to explore the area on their own, not just on game drives. They can also go on a bush walk to get a feel for Africa on foot. These are led by Maasai guides from the area who know it very well.
Explore the amazing wildlife of Africa for a whole day in the Conservancy and the Masai Mara National Reserve. In the warm afternoon, have a picnic and take a break under an Acacia tree. Then, join the trip again. Enjoy a cold beer or drink while taking in the beautiful sunset.
When you get back to the camp, enjoy a tasty safari meal. You get hungry after being outside all day, and the cook is more than happy to feed you. Start walking in the morning. Going for a walk with the animals is the most exciting way to see the savannahs. Find out about this environment and how to track animals and stay alive in the wild. In the evenings, night game drives let guests see the animals that are busy at night in the area.
Place to stay
Luxury tents are available at the Porini Mara Camp, which is set on the banks of the Laetoli River in Kenya’s Maasai Mara. This small camp can only hold 12 people at a time, so you can have a private experience in the bush.
The Porini Mara Camp has 6 tented rooms for safari guests to stay in. The suites are set up under Acacia trees by the Laetoli River. This Kenya safari camp has a double or single bed in each tent to make it more comfortable. The bathrooms are right next to the rooms and have a jungle shower. The art in each tent has an African look to it.
The place
The Masai Mara in Kenya is home to the Porini Mara Camp, which is set on the Ol Kinyei Conservancy’s game-rich fields. People think it is one of the most beautiful parts of the Serengeti-Mara environment.
The Mara Porini Camp is on the privately owned Ol Kinyei reserve, which is owned by the Maasai people who live in the area. It is right next to the Masai Mara National Reserve and is home to many kinds of animals, mostly plains game. There is also a big group of lions that live in the conservancy.
By Road
The camp is 11 miles (18 km) from the edge of the Maasai Mara National Park. Nairobi is 250 kilometers (155 miles) away from the Ol Kinyei Conservancy. It should take about 4 hours to drive there.
By Air
There is an airstrip in the conservancy that can be used by privately chartered planes. Nairobi and the Mara to Siana Airstrip have regular flights every day. The airstrip is about 16 km (9.8 mi) from camp.
Things to do
Going on game drives and bush walks with a local Masai guide is a great way to see the Masai Mara Kenya’s wildlife and beautiful scenery.
Some of the world’s most amazing wildlife shows happen in the Masai Mara. One of these is the Great Migration. Take game drives in the morning and afternoon to get to know the area. Find the Big Cats that the area is known for, as well as Giraffes and Elephants. The game drives happen in specially modified 4×4 vehicles, and they are led by Maasai guides who are very informed and experienced. They know everything there is to know about this ecosystem and can help people find animals and learn about the bush.
There are animals grazing nearby, so take a break in the grassland and enjoy a tasty and refreshing picnic lunch. Rest in the shady shade of an Acacia tree with a flat top before continuing the Kenya wildlife tour. Become a part of the environment for the whole day.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a refreshing sundowner and watch the sun go down in a ball of orange light. Then, take a night game drive back to the camp. Now is a great time to see Leopards or Lions getting ready for the night’s game.
