Place to stay

People have heard of Kenyan tented camps, but Rekero Camp is a cozy and peaceful oasis in the middle of the Masai Mara. Your Masa Mara tour will be better if you have classic comforts and beautiful views.
This camp is very nice and quiet, and it has 9 large safari tents set up next to the Talek River in Kenya’s Masai Mara. You can relax on soft beds and lounge chairs in earthy rooms that are designed to help you take in the atmosphere.

Each tent has a bathroom inside it with a flush toilet, a unique jungle shower, and two sinks. Each safari tent has a deck with chairs that looks out over the rocky and green riverside. Two of the safari tents are good for families because they have two rooms with private bathrooms and a sitting area for everyone to use.

Sunsets and meals eaten outside are two of the best things about being in the woods. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery at Rekero Camp in a number of lovely places.

The place

Kenya has a few tents camps that are set up in great spots for migration season. Rekero Camp is one of them. There are great chances to see a lot of animals in the Masai Mara, right next to the Talek River.
The migration is the busiest time for wildlife in Kenya’s Masai Mara, but there is still a lot of different kinds of wildlife that live there all year round. From June to March every year, Rekero Camp is open so that people can enjoy the best of the season. As Rekero was the film crew’s base camp, the stars of the Disney movie African Cats could often be seen on game drives.

A huge 750 square miles (almost 2,000 square km) are covered by the Masai Mara Game Reserve and nearby protected areas. The Serengeti is at the southern end of a beautiful ecosystem, and this area is at the northern end. Every year, at least a million Wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of Zebra move between these places in search of good grass. This happens when it rains.

How to Get to Rekero Camp in Kenya’s Masai Mara
A fly-in tour is the fastest way to get to Rekero Camp. This is the closest airport, Ol Kiombo, and there are regular flights every day. There is a 20-minute safari car ride from Ol Kiombo to Rekero Camp.
