Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu Game Reserve
You will begin your trip in Kenya at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, where you will take a scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. When you land, one of the camp guides will be there to meet you and drive you to the camp, where you will spend the next three nights.
The Samburu National Reserve is dry, rough, and beautiful. The land is rough, with rocks going off in every direction. The Ewaso Nyiro River moves through this dry land and brings life to it.
Elephants, big cats, and animals that can live in dry places, like the reticulated giraffe, the Beisa oryx, the Somali ostrich, and the long-necked gerenuk, roam these areas.
Day 2 – 3: Meet the Samburu
Samburu Game Reserve and Buffalo Springs Reserve are split by the Ewaso Nyiro River. You can go on a game drive in the morning and afternoon.
Grevy’s Zebras are very rare and are in danger of going extinct. It’s not unusual to see wild dogs, cheetahs, or leopards.
Over 450 species have been recorded in Samburu, making it a birder’s heaven. The birds are beautiful, and there are a lot of them. You can find both the Lesser Kestrel and the Taita Falcon in the area. Both are species that need to be protected around the world.
Go to a Samburu Cultural Village to see for yourself how the brightly dressed Samburu people in Northern Kenya get by in the harsh climate.
Day 4: Fly to Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will take a scheduled light aircraft trip to the Masai Mara in the morning. From July to October, the Great Wildebeest Migration takes place there.
Take a game drive in the park in the afternoon to see the beautiful fields. There are more wild game there than anywhere else on Earth, and there are more lions there than anywhere else in Africa.

You go to a traditional Maasai Manyatta after a tasty lunch and some free time. This is a wonderful way to learn about the traditions of the nearby groups and see what life is like in African villages in the past.
The camp is only a short drive from the Mara River. Every July and August, more than a million wildebeest and zebra cross the river, which can be dangerous.
