Day 1- 3: Samburu

Take a flight on the first day of your luxury Kenya safari to the culturally rich Samburu area in the northern wilds of Kenya. The Somali Ostrich, the Beisa Oryx, the Gerenuk, the Grevy’s zebra, and the reticulated giraffe live in this semi-arid area.

On a walking tour with a Samburu guide, you can feel the heat and learn about the ecosystem and the hard life in the African bush.

For those who like to try new things, you can ride a donkey or walk along the Ewaso Nyiro River for five hours and sleep under the stars in a fly camp in the middle of nowhere.

Kenyan safaris are as much about the people and animals that live there as they are about the animals. During your stay, you will have the chance to see a Samburu farm and learn about their way of life. Nomadic herders, they are known for the bright clothes and beadwork they wear.

Day 4 – 7: Mount Kenya

Take a private plane from Samburu to Solio Private Game Reserve and have a great time. A guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the lodge.

You will go on a game drive in the afternoon after a lunch made with fresh, organic ingredients from the lodge’s own veggie garden and maybe a short nap.
Take your time and see the center part of Kenya over the next three full days of your luxury Kenya safari. At Solio, you can go on guided walks, mountain bike rides, or horseback rides. These are all great ways to see wild animals from a different angle.

There are so many rhinos on this private game area that it’s crazy. Up to 40 rhinos can often be seen at once here. It’s possible to fish for trout in the cold streams of the Aberdares. You can also choose to fly in a chopper to a private Mount Kenya picnic area as an extra.

If you want to look for animals that are hard to find during the day, you can go on night drives during your stay.

Day 8 – 10: Masai Mara

Get to the airport on time for your flight to the Masai Mara. Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you on your first game drive right away. You will be going through the open savannahs of the Mara, which are full of antelope like wildebeest and Thomson’s Gazelles.

Spend the next few days exploring this area and enjoying wildlife sightings, such as the beautiful giraffe, the powerful elephant, and the plains’ Big Cats during morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 11: Nairobi

On the last day of your luxury safari in Kenya, you will go on one last game drive before leaving for the airport after breakfast. Take a plane back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi to make plans for your next trip.

At dawn, go on a game drive and watch the Mara come to life. Afterward, have breakfast in the bush while African animals roam around you. Take in the beauty of a clear sky and enjoy some amazing stargazing.

Take a walk with a Maasai fighter and learn how to read the tracks of the bush. As you fall asleep, you’ll hear the roar of a lion far away. Some optional things to do are a peaceful ride in a hot air balloon early in the morning or a visit to a traditional Maasai homestead.
