The Masai Mara is a great place to see wildlife all year long. You can see leopards, cheetahs, and lions.

Day 1: Meru National Park

Take a morning flight to Meru National Park to get away from the noise and chaos of Nairobi and into the peace and quiet of the African bush. Your guide will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the camp, stopping to see animals along the way.

Hippos and snakes can be seen as you walk through the rivers. Vervet and colobus monkeys can be seen in the trees along the rivers. The open fields are full of acacias and big baobab trees that give the elephants much-needed shade from the hot African sun.

Since the camp is on top of a big kopje, it has a great view of the whole park. Come on a game drive in the afternoon and go to the forest to look for caracals and kudus. They are often found there.

Day 2 – 3: Exploring and Experiencing Kenya

If you get up early, you can see hyraxes sleeping together on top of your solar panel. As you walk down to your safari car for an early morning game drive, you can see them. Watch the sun rise over the savanna and give it a pink color. At night, animals look for shelter, and in the morning, plains animals enjoy another night of survival.

Walk along the many rivers, forests, and open fields to see the different types of habitats. Watch gerenuk reach up on their back legs to eat the tasty bottom branches of acacias.

They reach up with their long necks to get to the best food. Tall reticulated giraffes eat from the high canopy. Their black tongues don’t get hurt by the thorns. Some of Grevy’s zebra stallions stood proudly by themselves, hoping that some mares passing by would want to stop and look at his huge area.

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve

Before going to the airport to catch a flight to the Masai Mara, have a cooked breakfast in camp. By taking the scenic flight, you can really get a feel for Kenya’s scenery. On the way to the camp, you can see some of the most beautiful wildlife in Africa. Keep an eye out for Topi, which stand tall on top of an anthill. Look for cheetahs lying down on the golden grass fields, ready to catch any animal that comes by.

Relax in your tent, which is a cool place with a view of the river. From the comfort of your porch, you can watch as many animals come down to drink. Late in the afternoon, go on a game drive through the Masai Mara with your guide. As the sun goes down, we’ll head back to camp in time for drinks and canapés around the fire before dinner.

Day 5 – 6: Big Cats and Small Creatures

A rough scenery of open savannahs with umbrella Acacia trees can be found in the Masai Mara. Safari vehicles run by knowledgeable guides who know the area very well will take you around.

Find out more about the interesting termites whose homes are high above the plains. You can smell the unique scent of the African bush and taste some of the plants while learning about how the Maasai still use them for healing.

During your game drives, you may see elephant groups, giraffes, and plains game. Try to find lions that are relaxing in a tree. Watch out for cheetahs and lions that want to kill. The Masai Mara is the best place to visit any time of the year because you can see so many animals.

It is famous for having a lot of big cats, a lot of other animals living there, and, of course, the mysterious Maasai people.
