Following afternoon tea, you can join a Maasai guide on a walk to a nearby Maasai town. There, you can learn more about these interesting people and their culture.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
When you wake up, you’ll hear the sounds of the bush and birds. After breakfast, go on a trek in Amboseli National Park for the whole day. As you stand here, you can take shots of animals with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.
The park is partly dry and partly wet, with marshes and swamps fed by water that flows down from the mountains. A lot of different kinds of Kenyan wildlife live there, like buffalo, zebras, elephants, and a group of lions. While having a picnic lunch in the bush, you can watch African wildlife.
Then go on another game drive until the afternoon, and then go back to camp. Go on another game drive in the evening. On the way, stop at a lovely lookout to enjoy a cool sundowner while watching the beautiful Kenyan sunset. For a night drive, keep going on your game drive in the dark. Looking for animals that are hard to find at night, like caracals, bat-eared foxes, and aardvarks that have been hiding all day.
Day 3: Fly to Laikipia
You will be taken to the nearby airport after breakfast so that you can fly to Wilson Airport in Nairobi and connect to your flight to Laikipia. A guide will meet you here and take you to your camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where you will arrive in time for lunch. You can go on a game drive in the reserve in the late afternoon to look for the big cats that roam the plains. Enjoy a drink in the bush as you watch the sky turn a rainbow of colors at sunset.
Day 4: Explore Laikipia
After a full day of safari on Ol Pejeta Conservancy today, you can go to the chimpanzee colony. Over 60,000 acres of wilderness can be explored in the reserve, which is home to a huge variety of wild animals, such as elephants, rhinoceroses, and lions. If you’d rather, you can go on an organized bush walk and get to know the bush through touch, smell, and sound. Trying to figure out what an animal did while you were asleep by reading its tracks from its poop is one of the most exciting things that can happen.
After dinner, get warm and go for a drive at night. You might be able to see some of Kenya’s strangest animals with the help of a flashlight and your guide. Watch out for the striped polecat (also called a Zorilla), the aardwolf, or even a lion or leopard.
Day 5: Fly to the Masai Mara
It’s time to take a plane to the Masai Mara after a bush walk or game drive in the early morning. When you get there, a guide will meet you and take you to your camp in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy. This conservation area has open fields, riverine forests, springs, rivers, and streams that bubble and flow. It also has rolling hills that offer stunning views of the Mara.
Ol Kinyei is from a group of Maasai people who have recently set aside land to protect animals. Take a game drive in the afternoon and bring some cold drinks with you to see these wide savannahs.
Day 6: Full Day Safari Masai Mara
Today, go on a trek in Masai Mara National Reserve for the whole day. Bring a picnic lunch with you. Widen your search and enjoy the amazing acts of the plains antelope, which are always on the lookout for their constant enemies. Wow at how many animals are on the fields, how big the sky is in Africa, and how beautiful Kenya is in its natural state.
Day 7 – 8: Explore More of the Masai Mara
On the seventh day of your Kenya Wildlife Safari, you go on a longer game drive and switch camps, this time going to Olare Orok Conservancy in the Mara environment. You can add an early morning hot air balloon safari as an extra. There is nothing more peaceful and dramatic than floating over the grassland as the sun rises and fills the land with light. Better yet, get some rest before going on another full-day game drive, where you’ll see some amazing wildlife.
Day 9: Nairobi
You will go on one last game drive or walk before breakfast on the last day of your wildlife tour in Kenya.
