In one part of Africa, a wound from a big rupture offers a lot of life when it heals. It has dark mountains, the Great Plains, and lakes that whisper. A lot of different kinds of life are drawn to its beauty, and people used to think it was where humans first became aware.
Remembering the Past
We now call this natural beauty the Great Rift Valley. It has pink lakes, moon-like mountains, and plains with lots of food. That place makes us think of the past; it’s where the memories of our early lives come flooding back from the depths of our minds and give us chills.
It is also a very beautiful place, and the Kenyan Rift Valley lakes are the best place to see this. There is a lot of wildlife there, and the birds are out of this world.
From the Arabian Peninsula to Southern Africa, the Great Rift Valley runs across the continent. Before it gets to Kenya, the valley splits into two rifts: the Western Rift, which runs through Central Africa, and the Eastern Rift, which runs through Kenya.
Kenya Rift Valley Lakes is made up of eight lakes. Two of them are freshwater, and the other six are alkaline. The alkaline soda lakes are where the big groups of flamingos that have made the Kenyan lakes famous can be found. They eat small crustaceans.
